. . . TO KUNDIAWA 4-KONA TAUN
Kundiawa welcomes you to Simbu.
BY CONCY SIMON in KUNDIAWA
FROM Kimbe in West New Britain to Kundiawa in Chimbu is quite an oily oil palm long
way.
That is crossing a big ocean, driving up a long highway, and finally
climbing into the mountains of the highlands of PNG.
One school has just completed that route. A private school in Kimbe has opened its new branch in Kundiawa to
give second chance to students who could not pass through government schools.
The Kimbe Grammar Secondary School has
already started enrollment last week for grades nine and eleven at Numunma AOG
church just outside Kundiawa town.
The Kimbe Grammar Secondary School
director Andrew Carl said the enrolment is focused especially on those who
could not make it to the next level of their education after grades eight and
ten exams.
“Kimbe Grammar Secondary school has
been operating for 15 years in West New Britain province and known as one of
the well established permitted schools in the province with an excellent track
record.
“We also have a branch operating in
Buka, the Autonomous Region of Bougainville and now in Kundiawa to ensure
affordable education was accessible to everyone.
“The school has a complete
destination in your formal education need with its high and secondary status
from grades nine to 12 including technical and teacher’s college in Kimbe.
“Our students in Kundiawa and Buka will
continue their tertiary in Kimbe or can accepted into other tertiary
institutions in the country”, Mr Carl said.
He said the school have some well
trained teachers to ensure their students achieve good Great Point Averages
(GPAs) after national examinations to continue to secondary and tertiary
institutions.
Parents and students who wish to
enquire and enroll can contact the director Andrew Carl directly on 70401655.
