A SIGH of RELIEF
IT MIGHT be small but it has a very
important role in Small Buka.
This little aid post, opened last week by
Civil Aviation Minister Walter Schnaubelt and North Bougainville MP William
Nakin, will serve over 6000 long suffering people of the Haku area.
Lontis aid post is in far northern tip of
Buka Island has been funded under the North Bougainville District Services
Improvement Program (DSIP).
It will service wards 10, 11 and 12 of Haku
District. A
Previously people have to walk hours to get
to the main health centre at Lemanmanu and travel two hours by truck to the
main Buka General Hospital for service.
Civil Aviation Minister Walter Schnaubelt,
vice minister for Planning Kobby Bomareo and Commerce Minister William Samb
were all present to give support to Member for North William Nakin for this
official program.
