Thanks go to the dedicated midwives and obstetrics
and gynecology staff who safely delivered these babies despite the ward being
full as usual.
According to CEO of the hospital, Dr Paki
Molumi, 15,000 babies are delivered annually and is the busiest labour ward in
the country delivering an average of 40 babies per day.
“Despite the COVID-19 lockdown, Port
Moresby General Hospital continues to provide normal services including
assisting mothers deliver their babies,” he said.
The
mothers and their babies have a reason to celebrate with their children as they
remember the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Smiles of joy for happy mum.
